Proud Gloucester
There is no easy way to say this – we have recently had to make an extremely difficult decision, Proud Gloucester has ceased trading and last Sunday, 1st March, we closed our doors for the last time.
The hospitality landscape has been incredibly challenging, and like a number of other venues and café/bars locally, we have felt those pressures. Those pressures have truly had an impact. However, we are proud of what we created and the space we held over the past five months.
To our staff — thank you for your professionalism, resilience and heart. You showed up, worked hard and gave Proud its energy every single day.
To our volunteers — your time and commitment made a real difference, and we are so grateful.
To our community and customers — thank you for walking through our doors, supporting events and social groups, bringing friends, visiting for a drink, filling the dancefloor and making the space what it was. It meant more than you know.
Proud was built with inclusivity, accessibility and community at its core. We leave knowing that, for a time, we created somewhere people could gather, celebrate and feel welcome.
